With regards to Ironbridge, other than my 'swim' on the 2nd run (and two swims in practice :) - at least it was warm ) Sunday was a great day. The only downside, which the organisers coped with admirably, was the constantly rising river levels. Didn't quite rise as quickly as the Abbey Rapids Prem ...

Well just had Email through saying that we haven't been successful for our ticket application - but we can try for the 2nd round!! Only there isn't any available for Canoe Slalom! Got two disappointed K1W's in my house now who were looking forward to seeing their sport live at the Olympics. Oh well...

... not another HPP coz its too flat down there. However I have always thought why didn't LOCOG/BCU just upgrade the facilities at HPP. Afterall some of the football is being played at Coventry, other sport (rowing?) over at Reading and isn't the sailing being done at Weymouth :p Would have been a ...

Agree that it would best be set as a 2/3 as the situation of Div 4 was not just a problem at Nene but Matlock also ran a Div 4 on the same weekend and had even fewer entrants!! It would be a real shame if it isn't a race at Nene next year as I believe it gives those in Div 3 the chance to get on fa...

Great event for the Bank Holiday - just a shame the river rose making gates 13 & 16 somewhat more difficult on 2nd runs. However allowed the younger siblings of those taking part at the weekend a chance to get on the water, whilst their older siblings watched from the bank. Great to see so many hav...

Can anyone advise if the version of the calender on the Canoe Slalom website is still the provisional one or if now the actual for 2010. Notice that the 'disclaimer' has gone from the website but the calander still has 'provisional' on the document titles! Trying to plan 'free' weekends next year t...
