Re: Lower Divisions (3&4) - How Could Things be Improved?

Adults in paddling. When the clocks go forward we are going to run some adult/ parent sessions at HPPCC. This could be very interesting for the kids to watch. We thought while the kids are paddling on a Saturday we can have a bash too now they can look out for each other. Hopefully a few parents may...

Re: 6.12 Restricting Paddle Up

As part of the HPPCC race organisation team I would like to say that paddle ups help to pay for the race, and any number should be allowed into the race where space is available. We should also keep the four week window. This gives the paddlers and parents time to find accommodation at a possible re...

Re: Is C2 Viable as a ranking class?

How about we try and encourage people to do C2 rather than just give up on it. I understand Mixed crews have just been added to the worlds so why would we want to de rank it? Young crews are starting to take C2 up and gain great experience from the class. let's try and encourage and not just give up...

Inter Clubs

Just a big thank you to the army of people who made such a great job of organising Inter Clubs this year. A great time was had by all. I was surprised to find out that the race has been run at a loss for a couple of years. This can't be right! Maybe a small price hike or maybe the Welsh and English ...

Re: Future of C2

How about we try and encourage more C2 crews to give it a go. This could be done by making the entry free for a couple of seasons. This way crews who would like to give it ago won't have to pay £19.50. It would be the crews responsibility to ensure they are capable of paddling the water. It would al...

Re: British Open Race Progression

Didn't the format of the open work last year?
Was there any complaints from the paddlers last year about the format?
I agree with Ceebee the more race time paddlers get on LV the better for all.
Thanks for organising the race whatever format has been chosen :D

HPP Race 3/4 Sept '16

As of today 5th July '16 the Div 1 race is FULL. There is no waiting list due to organisers being away leading up to the race. The Prem race has reached capacity when taking into account paddle-ups. We would ask that all Prem Paddlers get their entries in prior to 25th July, again due to organisers ...

Re: HPPCC 3rd/4th September race suspended

No mistake.
They charged us £1,730 last year for the weekend, and they want £13,200 (no mistake). So I hope paddlers and officials understand why we have suspended the race.
A decision to cancel will be taken very shortly.

HPPCC 3rd/4th September race suspended

Hi all I am sorry to inform you that the HPPCC race 3rd 4th September has been suspended. The reason for this is that Serco want to charge us £13,200 to rent the course for the weekend. No race cards or cheques to be sent in to Mr Barret until further notice. This charge in my opinion will be the de...
