Following HPP, points are now as follows:

Andrew Lydall 68.5

Dave Royle 39

This is on the basis that points from div.1 events are now halved before comparison with those from prem.
It is good to see two new characters this season; welcome Andrew and Dave!

This is on the basis that points from div.1 events are now halved before comparison with those from prem.
Andrews points have already been divided by 2 by the points calculation software.

Best run time score=154.64
Modified score = 154.64/1.2 = 128.86

Compare to K1M scores

Faster than 42nd placed paddler 129.61
Less than 41st placed paddler 147.63
Therefore use points for 41st placed paddler = 273

As div 1 event, divide points by 2 = 136.5 and round up =137.

None of us raced at Cardiff, so the placing stays as it is for now!

Hello once again!

Following HPP, placings are as follows:
George Spittal: 3000 points
Dave Royle: 539 points
Andrew Close: 492 points
Andrew Lydall: 391 points

Welcome back, Andrew C. !

The above is based on the points from the published results, but I think that there may be a discrepancy with Dave's points; were you paddling C1, Dave?

Best Wishes!
Jerry.

Dave was paddling C1 so we compared his time with the C1M. Is that correct?

Thats correct Dave's results are compared to C1M and divided by two if Div 1.
Unfortunatly the software at the moment thinks every Veteran is K1 so any C1 man's points are incorrect, but now the timing team know they correct manually.
Previous results are possibly incorrect, The Ranking Compiler knows and has corrected his ranking list.
I will endevour to correct the software but it's quite complex so will take time, in situations like these the human brain is faster than a dumb computer.
You know that Dave is C1 but we will have to come up with a way to tell the computer, probably a code in the age column not just V, by the way there could be a veteran K1W.

Many thanks for clearing up the confusion. I've now noted that Dave R races in C1.
Any other vet. categories would, of course, be most welcome to join us!
Dave Waine sometimes paddles both K1 and C1 in the same event, could this cause a further anomaly with the results software?

Thanks and best wishes!

After the Washburn Double, the positions by my reckoning are now as follows, based on the published points:

George Spittal: 3000 points
Andrew Close: 2069 points
Andrew Lyall: 583 points

Dave Royle (paddling C1) 539 points

Best Wishes to All!

Following the 'Tully weekend, placings are as follows:

George Spittal: 4000 points
Andrew Close: 1569 points
Andrew Lyall: 583 points

Dave Royle (C1): 539 points

The leader is pretty much uncatchable now; many congratulations, George!!

Andrew's Washburn II points have been reduced from 1000 to 500 as this is the maximum for a Div.1. This does not, however, affect the placings.

Best Wishes to All!
