I've had a few email entries...
It's great to hear that you plan to come but I'll give priority to entries with cards & cheques.
Email entries go on my wait list - they'll take priority over emails received at a later date
We're still about 2/3 full so there's no need to panic - just send me cards & cheques.

Does this mean that you're changing the conditions on the canoe slalom website which states very clearly that "Late entries accepted Online and via email until Wednesday 10th June"

That does look inconsistent. I'll check what we are doing with our other events & straighten it out.

Thanks Jeff for pointing out the misleading words in our calendar entry.
We'll change them to this:

Double event - First Race Saturday, Second Race Sunday
Cheques Payable to Viking Kayak Club
Email entries accepted between 28th May & 10th June. Entries in person up to 8 pm Friday 12th June

I hope that's clear. The intention is to give priority to those who send cards & cheques, but also allow newly promoted paddlers to get an entry in just before the race. I've done my best to keep up with email 'entries' but some of them don't give me enough information & half of the 'cheques in the post' have not arrived...

We're over 2/3 full at the moment so we'll probably be full by mid May.

I expect a couple of promotions plus the odd drop out so am optimistic that I will fit in most entries that I had received up until last weekend

Just updated the start lists
Next update after this weekend's Llandysul results are out or I hear direct from promoted paddlers
If you have been promoted out of Div 2 & are still on the start list please let me know

Cheques will be banked on Thursday so if you've entered but cannot come to the race please let me know
I'll scrap your cheque & give your place to one of the many paddler on the wait list

If anyone coming to Cardington can help us out at all we will be eternally grateful.
If I can find a few more people to help out with safety cover during the event I propose running a little longer each day & taking a few more entries
That will mean that at least some of the 30 people on the wait list get to race

Nick, I can see you're doing everything to accommodate as many as possible. However, anyone unable to get an entry at Cardington is welcome to come to Ogmore Div 3/4 & Open.
We have plenty of space!
