Re: Tees Barrage Div 1/2/Junior and Vet Champs, and Premier
How much space does the winning British,Junior Champion need to store a potential 6 trophies?
Why when there is the potential to help several juniors with sponsorship and squad selection are juniors allowed to win multiple trophies?

Re: Tees Barrage Div 1/2/Junior and Vet Champs, and Premier
Good rule change to remove age restriction for Junior Champs prizes but why allow same competitor to win multiple age prizes in the same class?

Re: Competing in an Officials event
It would be a shame to see this event go. On the whole it works and probably encourages volunteers and assists organisers. The problem is when this event is being abused by competitors breaking the rules and by competing in the ranking event and also entering officials event. As Seve as stated when ...

Re: Competing in an Officials event
Why is there no Judging Competition for Div4 competitors?" - presumably because most div 4's don't know all the rules and can't judge. Most youngsters are introduced to judging as they learn the rules and go up the divisions and sit with an experienced judge a few times before judging. As the gate ...

Re: Competing in an Officials event
If it requires so much effort from a non-paddling official to gain points in the official ranking list then perhaps the number of points allocated to them at each event needs to be altered. Also a non-paddling official is probably going to be unranked and therefore not eligible for a prize as they a...

Re: Competing in an Officials event
Are you saying it is ok at Div 4 because that is not a ranked category or that a C2 crew is a different individual from the 2 individuals who make up the crew? I don't think anyone has a problem with div4s breaking this rule but somewhere up the divisions it has to be enforced. Once a paddler is ran...

Re: Competing in an Officials event
Rules are rules and without them slalom would be chaos! If competitors need to be "rewarded" for also judging then they could be given a uniform number of points like non-paddling officials. It is unfair to allow official and competiors runs to the same paddler. Water conditions can and do change th...

Re: Open Divisions
Div 2/3/4 slaloms are banned because not challenging for div 2/ too challenging for div 4 but under open divisions it is ok for Prem/1 paddler to enter a div 3/4 event??? CONFLICTING IDEAS??? I fail to see how open divisions will increase retention. It appears to be totally demoralising to lower div...

Re: Open Divisions
Rolling rankings sound like not too bad an idea but I do not think that it is feasible to carry points between divisions following promotion/demotion therefore overall probabally unfair. Why do people who are paddling down need points? If the prizes are only for the paddlers in the Target division t...

Re: Open Divisions
As a non paddling parent of a div 1 child I like the current divisional system where races are aimed at the ability of paddlers in that division. Allowing paddlers to enter races one division up is aready catered for under paddles up where they can compete and do not steal points in that division. C...

Re: Rolling Rankings
Results should be collated by bib number not name. Therefore unless just promoted or div 4 this should not be a problem.
