Re: Rules around promotions and paddle up entries
I would propose one easy rule. If you get promoted you are guaranteed an entry at every race that year provided you enter in say 2 weeks. You keep the same Bib so your new Number becomes something like 11P [ If you old division bib was 11] Its takes a week to get a new Bib at least, and you don't ne...

Re: Boat Weights
It would be good to have a timing beam at some of these races as paddlers are getting promoted on tenths of a second results. It takes a team of at least 9 people to run the timing system at P/1 events (could be done with a minimum of 5 volunteering full time during the day). There is a very small ...

Re: Bala Mill Division Div 2/3 & 4 on 22 / 23 rd July
Mark, is this event full.
There are some 68 entries on the on line list.
When I enter it says the event is full ?

Re: Boat Weights
Don't start me off on the nonesense of timing in general and timing to 0.01s timing in our sport... I am going to start you off. Div 2 events this year. Easy courses and around 5 paddlers on every second of the result list. No Boat Weights thank goodness. But push button start and finishers. It wou...

Re: Prem is dead Long live Div 1P
From an Old paddler that Paddled in Div1 before they took the top 60 of us out and formed Prem. I then paddled in prem for over 20 years in K1, C1 and C2 and yes all at the same time in the early 90 s. In my comeback I now can't get into Prem but anyway Div 1 is a better division. I think PU is perf...

Re: Online enteries
Is it permitted to refund £17 and make a further £3 charge at the same time without further authorisation from the card holder? Then a subsequent cancellation would be 2 transactions, £14 and £3. Tracking C2 permutations is something else! Possibly. As you can see though it is really not straightfo...

Re: Boat Weight Rules
So we have changed the rules so that a few paddlers can get there boats on a Plain. In the 80s I remember before boat weight restrictions got introduced. Boats got measured in length and width. We also got BA fitted with the appropriate weight and put into a Tub for flotation. Helmets got scrutinise...

Re: Boat Weight Rules
So having been around Slalom for a long time I have seen a lot of Rules changed. Some for the better and some just stupid. In the 70s there was no lower limit on Boat weight and the lightest boat I paddled by the early 80s was 13ld. in Glass and then 14ld in Kevlar. Thats around 6KG. Yes light boats ...

Re: Calling all prem/1 organisers - online Entries 2017
Thanks Dee that was easy.
Once it is on the Slalom web site and every gets used to it, postal entries will be a thing of the past.
You will probably need to set a start by date in 2018.
Just need a system to collect bibs at the first events now.

Re: Calling all prem/1 organisers - online Entries 2017
Sorry for being a bit slow hear. But I have just spent 5mins looking for a link for the Shepperton Div1 Slalom entry. So if you have 4 or so entries Dee it must be up and running. My Wife entered from a link sent from Alison, which I could also do but thats defeating the object. Perhaps its to early...
