I understand that the online entry system will automatically send this information to people who have entered, and credit cards will not be charged etc.
This is correct - emails have been sent

Re: Isn't it strange?

Hi Dee Obviously no one knows when canoeing can resume and when races can resume. It may be that there are no races run at all in 2020 in which case we just wait until 2021 to restart. (I haven't considered what will happen if this runs into 2021 as can't think that far ahead yet). Whenever we resu...

Re: Isn't it strange?

I wonder what will happen about points and demotions if we do get half a season this year? Does everybody get short season exemption because, well, it is? Or change the points thresholds? And will everybody swim a lot, especially at the higher divisions? Would Tees Barrage be just a succession of s...

Re: Isn't it strange?

Or, slightly less facetiously how we get the season moving when this is all over and what we do about getting div 4s in, bearing in mind clubs are not running beginners sessions right now.

Isn't it strange?

Nowadays I only attend a few slaloms during the year, but in spite of that I usually get quite a few slalom emails through the season and feel quite close to a lot of the races because of my involvement with the tech end. I'm really missing the season :( This was brought home to me by an email I had...

Re: Cancellation of all British Canoeing events and gatherings,

As I am sure you are aware, once we have charged paddlers' cards (usually about 3 weeks before the race) we are unable to refund the booking fees. This means that although paddlers will receive a refund for their entry fees, it won’t be for everything they have paid :( It seems at least possible, if...

Re: Cancellation of all British Canoeing events and gatherings,

For those in the sad position of needing to cancel their competitions: • Go to the setup pages for your competition • Click on the cancel competition button in the bottom right hand corner • Check and confirm This will cancel and refund all the entries and cannot be undone, so please make sure you c...

Re: Lee Valley Div 1

I have flying boats on my safety plan for Tees - had that issue a few years ago. I was more surprised by the chairs than the boats as with slatted seats there was (I thought) less for the wind to get hold of. We had stacked them for extra weight and duck taped them to fixtures but the wind was very...

Re: Lee Valley Div 1

Thank you to everyone who came and braved the winds to compete and/or help. We couldn’t have done it without you. Confession: we never thought to add flying chairs and boats to the safety plan! PS. We had some feedback about the “do not”s on the start list - this was stuff we were required to add b...

Re: Lee Valley Div 1

A couple of paddlers have asked whether the course will be up for the practice sessions

The answer is No as this would not be fair on those who are not able to attend a session. The course will go up after the sessions on Friday are complete

Sunday’s course will also be different to Saturday’s
