Thanks.
It is an idea though - I'm not sure about financial feasibility nor even who is responsible for making decisions regarding Pan Celtic!

Re: Sshhh – it’s a secret! The Pan Celtic

Wherever it is then local paddlers will have an advantage. The same is true of Tees as of Lee Valley. Those local to Tees will have the advantage; those with a 10hr round trip will probably never have been there. In practice, even those J12/J14s local-ish to Lee Valley mostly do their regular paddli...

Re: Points calculations with DNFs

... by just running Simply Slalom again which is not a massive task. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Reloading output from timing system to the current version of Simply Slalom may be doable; I’m not sure whether original data is retained though data then has to be reloaded to ranking databas...

Re: Simply Slalom

Hold off for a mo, if you can.

Might be quicker to get the updated version of Simply Slalom.

In any case, using an out of date version means that you may get errors in points calcs

Re: Simply Slalom

2029! - Wow!

Are we talking about Scottish Schools?

The use of the sponsor field should not make a difference but I know that some older versions of SS had some issues with scratch C2s.

Re: Officials Entries

As it’s a div 2, the entry to officials is at discretion of organiser and as the organiser is running a pan Celtic I’m guessing they will allow such entries for pan Celtic teams. Of course if parents step up to assist with duties it does help the juggling a bit :)

Re: Officials Entries

2.11.1 These are not open events. Entrants must be able and willing to do judging or other official duties as requested by the Organisers. At Division 1 and Premier races an athlete may not enter both a ranking or Championship Competition and an Officials Competition in the same or different events...

Re: Points calculations with DNFs

Worth noting that because the C1M concerned came 4th in a field of 22 on Sunday any paddler from position 4 downwards benefited slightly from the error. The only C1M paddlers that received reduced points (by a small amount only) were the paddlers in 2nd and 3rd place. So to recalculate now would eff...

Re: Points calculations with DNFs

... The points calculation for the paddler who was Div 1 but recorded as a PU is an interesting case. The online entry system copes very well with promotions and as an organiser you can manage the promotion so that they are racing in the host division rather than as a PU. Dee, I wonder whether this...
