Have to say (PLEASE NO ONE HAVE A GO AT ME) that it is often the coaches and parents (obviously not all) who encourage this bad attitude. I had a bad experience at the weekend at Bala (no i wont mention names or details as i could have handled it better) but it did leave me asking 'what happened to...

Looking at this from a legal point of view and although am not sure how this would apply as its a foreign company. This comes under the Sale of Goods act 1979. The make up of the boat is a fundamental clause in the contract and they are obviously in breach of this contract. You have the right to re...

its £8 to get on the water! that gives you about 6 hours on the water as opposed to how long? you usually get at a slalom. If you dont like the start time dont come, we have opened the event up to other clubs etc to give others more practice of race line starts during winter training. We are stuck ...

if rescue was only consistant at all events, i have had throw lines thrown over my boat and wrapped around me from people on the bank trying to rescue someone who has swam infront of me at races. The point with airbags is that boats are hard to rescue especially when full- from my experience at sla...

At the end of the day the course at Teesside is a business and cant give discounts to everyone who is training as it would have to accomodate all of the disciplines. There is a club at the centre who cater very well for slalom, providing structured coaching with events such as frost bite slaloms. T...

As an assumed risk sport there is no enhanced duty of care, it is as the title suggests, the law does not impose 'the good samaritan on us' and as such it is up to the individual to decide what to do in a rescue situation.
