Are they Thule ones and are they locking? I've got Ford ones now since I had to have them for the warranty but I was just thinking it might be worth upgrading if the price is right.

Sounds like we need a national ranking database that takes internet entries :)

Is the ranking officer the same as the bib officer?? I used my new address for all but the first race last year (which was before I moved).

Just got my yearbook - it's been via my old address. Who needs to know the new address? (BCU and bib officer have been updated...)

Kev - I presume given the date range given they're for a saloon rather than estate?

As someone with "Boat up to weight" on my todo list I'd say it'd be very useful to have some scales somewhere to test with. Do I trust what the sticker in the boat says, how much does that seat weigh, how much did I cut off the thigh braces, how accurate are my bathroom scales and why do the kitche...

Premier works for me - I even ordered one under my weight (85kg vs 90kg) judging on how the 75kg demo boat felt and it sits fine in the water - wouldn't want it any higher. I expect a 90kg (which is the max) will paddle fine for 100kg, but it all depends how much over 100kg you are talking. That an...

Should be a smaller wave as the ramp holding the water back will go flatter to allow more water through. That said I don't know what level that photo/boat getting trashed is on and you may be asking the wrong question. Perhaps the question is "How bad will it get at lower levels?". I remember when ...

Alternatively to get a 2.04m paddle through a 1.2m gate you require an angle of 36.031879072470558370395367519708 or less to the vertical (assuming an infinitely narrow paddle)

I would prefer to keep both feet in the boat and not a foot in the water :p

What we need is a central rankings computer system that takes all the results in a standard format :)

My ranking is right :p

Could have told you the min off the top of my head. Never ceases to amaze me how many times one can fit a 2m+ paddle through a 1.2m gate and not hit it :p

Several points from observing this thread: 1) Slalom committee cannot work magic on a geographical area with no input from volunteers from the local club - any coaching initiative must be started from the club not centrally. It's a nice idea that all regions should be treated equally but there will...

I think having an electronic version of the bib list is a good start toward internet entries as well. Perhaps we shouldn't limit it to Slasoft users though and have those files available either here (if NP is willing?) or on BCU site. To comply with data protection no address/phone/other contact in...
