I'm in Div 1, and have been for 3 years (from my first season slalom paddling), although I won't be next year as (for many of the reasons others have mentioned, namely a) work, b) polo and c) excessive travelling distances) I've only managed 1 race this year. I'm young-ish (25) but by no means a 'p...

I'm not sure who many of you are in real life, but I'm more than happy to be involved in a Southern slalom development plan.

I organised the Shepperton race this year, but for various reasons this is the first time I've heard this... and I'm confused as to the reason. Entry numbers? Entry numbers weren't great, but as others have mentioned that was because we were only allowed a single 1 and single 2; naturally people we...

Hi all, Just a quick update on the Shepperton slalom! I hope you're all looking forward to it. Still 2 gates open with 2 side spills too. I'll update again closer to the race. The start list currently on this site includes all cards received by the deadline for on time entries, plus the first few l...

For sale due to having bought a new boat, is my Double Dutch Slingshot 353. It's ideal for 60-70 kilos. Carbon Kevlar construction. Dark red/plum deck, clear hull. It's a few years old so has a fair few scratches and has had its tail repaired professionally (very smooth repair, no effect on perform...

I am thinking about replacing my K1. I am in no mad rush - it will probably survive another season (fingers crossed) but if anyone has a boat that would suit me for sale, I would be interested in buying now. I'm not sure my skill level justifies buying a brand new boat, but I'm willing to spend a r...

Hmm. It would seem to make sense for us to look at sharing with you as we're also going from Hertfordshire, up to Fairnilee, then staying in Scotland for the week until Tully. However... we're going to go elsewhere in between (somewhere hiking with the dog) so we need our car for the middle part of...

So, it's time for a clear out - there's only so many slalom kayaks one couple needs :) I'm looking to sell 2 k1s, both short boats. One is mine, one is my old housemate from uni's, but he never paddles it so has asked me to sell it. My boat: - Double Dutch SlingShot 353. Sparkly reddy-maroon colour...

Having recently purchased a shiny new short c2, our old one is up for sale. It is an old Gaybo design, but is in remarkably good condition - one small repair to seam. It's fully padded and fitted with quick release straps. Very smart looking - black hull and deck with turquoise flashes. Back right....

Those of you who do marathon and sea paddling are probably familiar with Nelo's sprint/marathon and sea kayaks - they're now doing a slalom k1 (and a c1, though I haven't seen one of them yet), apparently! http://www.wwtccnews.blogspot.com/ I'm going to borrow it for a demo next time I'm at Shepper...

So my Arachnid friend, Cat moves from being 18/26 to 16/16, points gained change from 35 (less than some beastly people who had the temerity to miss a gate) to 6. 40% of your starters go home with a wasted weekend, many of which resolve not to return or to take up an alternative post. The winners a...
