Re: publication of start lists
Producing a draft start list is a complete waste of time! Times chance dramatically and the few days before an event often represent the time when the majority of entries arrive. In terms of producing a list of entries, this would take a fair amount of time and if done separately to start list, is a...

Re: British Open in November
See, I was not suggesting div 1 supports prem, I think that would be wrong, what I suggested was prem support prem and div 1 support div 1... Just charge an increased levy a d increase fees throughout the year...

Re: British Open in November
The questions I'd have are, how many people raced and did they get anything else for their money?

Re: British Open in November
I understand the costs etc and understand where the numbers come from, but at £40 I will not be racing at the prem or British open. As a proportion of costs for a competitor, it is pretty low, but represents a significant increase for just one event. An event where access to train prior to the event...

Sim's Race
For anyone interested tees tigers are once again hosting the Simon Fletcher memorial race this Easter. The race is scheduled to run on Friday 29th march at the river tees water sports centre in stockton. This would provide a lovely stop off on the way to Tully and with tea cake etc available and pro...

Re: Injured, What to do?
Go and see a decent physio and not waste time with nhs ones that tell you to rest! Spend a few quid, think how much a new set of blades or a boat costs! With regard to demotion, if it happens there are lots of div 1 races, but if you want to stay in prem speak to John woods. Email must be in the yea...

Re: The Club Experience, and only the Club Experience
Clubs provide the facity to start and nurture a talent. Gates, clubhouse (or car park!), kit along with support and enthusiasm... Clubs provide knowledge of events. Those upcoming and best ones to start at and where to progress. Clubs also provide peers to compete with/against along with mentors to ...

Re: Serpents Tail
thanks for a great race and a great weekend. Water levels were fantastic and was great to see so many paddlers testing themselves on a brilliant piece of river.
Looking forward to next year already!

Re: Open Divisions
As a prem paddler, I wouldn't race at a div 1, but I do judge at a fair number of races. I don't think that the standard if the course makes a material difference to the results. When town falls was judged to be too dangerous, and raced on the flat, there were no surprises. As a junior I didn't pay ...

Re: West Tanfield 2/3/4
How strict is the late entries? What if div4s bottle it if the water is too high?
Or is the event too full already? Just asking the question as there are a few people I know of talking of turning up...

Re: The Structure of Slalom
I like what we have now. I din't think that it is anything to do with the ranking system preventing people entering our sport. It is a limited number of people working hard to get new people in. If we had more of the isolated pockets. It wouldn't matter what system was in place. Our sport is fantast...
Prudhoe
Just a quick one to let the organising team from Hexham and tvcc that their efforts were greatly appreciated this weekend and the tigers loved it! It's great to see a new event appear on the calendar and even better that it has inspired another northern club to have a go next year... Thanks again, a...

Re: McConkey Slalom 2012
As stated previously courses were excellent including rv's caveat. I do think that we should have more tough ones that make us think... However, not sure about championship format? Not everyone in prem is looking to race abroad and if you easily make semis, Saturday's a waist of time! Contraversial ...
