Indeed at the moment I do not know how we would run lower division races without cards. Some potential answers to "how to run cardless" during the event in the thread above. I still get the question "What position do they need to get to get those points?"........... the question is usually before y...

however I still get the question "What position do they need to get to get those points?"........... That ones easy. I've made a spreadsheet that prints on one side of A4. Gives points for any number of paddlers from 5 to 31 entries. If its a big entry of say 56 .. then thats just twice the 28 entr...

Instead of writing the information from the gate judges on a card as is currently done they would simply enter it on a computer. Transmission errors would be checked as they are now by refering back to the judge/judging sheets. All that is different is that the clerk in control enters the data in a...

I'm sorry but that's rubish.

Download before event. Work offline during event. Upload (soon) after event. Perfectly possible

Nodding my head in agreement with this thread. When I realised even a Div4 SC with "reduced admin" .. needs 13 envelopes as the organiser post event, I vowed "never again". The clincher for me was Nick had the results up on the website for download BEFORE my (admittedly slow) printer had finished p...

Really looking forward to Lee Valley 2/3. To be crowned Hardest Div 3 of the year it will need to average more than 114 penalties per run. That's going to be one tough course! :D   It is always good to be proven wrong... For Lee Valley to claim the title of "hardest D3 K1M of the year"...

A forum vote is a great idea if it can happen. I'm sure people will vote for the best rather than their clubs .. :)

Thanks Munchkin, it would have been great to stay for Sunday to, but family commitments meant otherwise. Sounds like you made some good changes for Sunday. Interesting about the boy vs. girls thing. Perhaps the boys are in training never to stop to ask for directions when driving?? :p Really lookin...

Just wanted to add my thanks for a well run event. :D Totally agree this was a excellent idea to run a 3/4 alongside the 1/2. My son certainly really enjoyed both the challenging course, and been able to watch the div1's. I think the Darleks is great water for a 3/4, with the full volume of HPP, an...

Confused? Yep .. confused. its hard enough to remember how old i am, gave up counting a while back ... let along work all this out. How about rationalising both Vets and Masters into a "grumpy league". 4 classes and you can nominate which you fit into: 1/ Bit miffed 2/ Grumpies 3/ Really Narked 4/ ...

Ta Andrew, as i said made me chuckle, Gary obvoiusly is British C1 Masters Champion 2011, and many congratulations to him. As I know paddling while adopting leg bending position more akin to Yoga should really be a young mans sport. At our age we should know better. But then hes youngster at just M...
