Re: Age Categories for the 2020/21 Racing Season
As I see it the decision has already been made to run a Two season year 2020-2021. So point gained this year will stand in 2021. So the paddlers that got off to a good start in 2020 keep there points and can build on there results in 2021. This is by far the best and fairest decision. So lets not ke...

Re: Abandoning the season?....
To be fair I don't think that the committee ever said the season would be abandoned:
So there is still hope that those that trained hard and had a good start to there season could get recognition for there success.

Re: Abandoning the season?....
I fully agree with you James and Jim. There is going to be a lot to consider if we want to get this wonderful Sport up and running again. A big challenge to get numbers back to old times. Perhaps I should have started a separate post { Div1 Points} but its on this one now. Just an attempt to give re...

Re: Abandoning the season?....
[/quote]That bit out of the way, if you did bring an ACM motion, I think my main concern would be the unintended consequences. Eg: We get too many promotions too early in the season, substantially weakening the lower divisions and potentially resulting in mid-season promotions of paddlers who were n...

But include Div1 Points. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dee wrote. Re: Abandoning the season?....
Could we consider running a Duck Race at each Slalom site and charging £2.00 to enter. Everyone keeps there bib number and the rankings are done from the results. Something like the first 3 get promoted. On a more serious note and hopefully when racing starts next year. Could it be a consideration t...

Re: Abandoning the season?....
Thoughts Good question James. I think that Prem has had it for the Year, They haven't raced yet and Its going to probably be impossible to run an event safely and then get enough races to have a ranking list. An Open event would be nice. Div 1. Their have been 4 races. There has been one promotion a...

Dee
It is nice to read a post on hear.
I am missing the chatter.
Can't someone think about something we could debate.

Re: Yat technical question
Did some tests with first a 3mm cord loop in the system using 4mm cord for the main line. With a 6x pulley system and all the force I could get on it, I could't brake it. So changing the system to having a single 3mm Cord section in, then the 6x pulley system snapped it. How much force, not a clue b...

Re: Non quorat classes and paddle ups
I am considering to propose at the next ACM that Paddle Up results get calculated as if they are racing in the Class they have entered. So if there are 60 entries, Plus 1 PU and the PU finishes 30th. The Paddle Up will get 30th place points and the home division paddler that finishes 30th would get ...

Re: Stronger Together 2021-2025
You haven't missed anything Dave. Looks like we will have the same system as always. I filled it in stage by stage and it ended before I got the the real comments I was intending to make. So will probably do another one. Problem is will anyone read it and consider the situation we are in. Just keep ...

Re: 6.5 Junior Equipment
Jim, I can remember Racing at Tully Div1 Pan Celtic and you had a Scottish Master in the Team event in a Plastic Pig. Nobody complains as it was all good fun. But if they had come first it could be a different story.
My Vote would be let anyone paddle anything, except at selection races.

Re: 6.2 Entry Fees
Option 3 of Cee Bee post has my vote by far.
We shouldn’t be wasting are time at the ACM talking about entry fee increases.
We need to address the lack of paddlers in the lower Divisions.
