Re: C2 Structure for 2018 Season
Hi everyone. Good to read the comments expressed on this subject to date. Lots of good suggestions but some do conflict with other views expressed. Any formal ACM proposal needs to be submitted before the end of October so while the two discussion meetings would be a great way forward, nobody (as fa...

Re: C2 Structure for 2018 Season
I'm with you Paul and totally disagree with the comments made on the front page of this website sent to Nick Penfold by Nick Taylor in a private e-mail. I like to enter C2 races for the challenge of racing against other like minded paddlers for the enjoyment it brings, the challenge of the race and ...

Re: Rules around promotions and paddle up entries
I am currently experiencing the issue that Mike has outlined. My daughter got promoted from Div. 2 K1 Ladies last weekend in Bala and has yet to be advised what her new Div. 1 Bib No. will be. Although we have sent e-mails to the Bib Officer (as it is suggested we do on the front page of Canoe Slalo...

Re: Rules around promotions and paddle up entries
I also agree with Baldockbabe. When promoted, a paddlers entry (made on whatever date it was submitted) should be considered as being a host division entry. This should apply to Officials entries as well as Paddle Up entries in my opinion. Otherwise when you get promoted out of Division 2 your seaso...

Re: C2 Structure for 2018 Season
Hi all. Thanks for all of the positive contributions made to this thread. I expected the support for the concept of "anyone can paddle at any event" from you Mr. Sturgess as deep down I suspect that this was the reason behind your original "paddle up" concept. While I think that it would work for th...

C2 Structure for 2018 Season
Hi all. As you know I am a big fan of the C2 class and would hate to see it be removed from UK based competitions as it has been from other more high profile competitions. For this reason I think that those of us who still participate in this class need to put forward plans on how it should be struc...

Re: Is C2 Viable as a ranking class?
With 9 Div. 2/3 C2 crews plus an extra 9 (or so) Div. 4 C2 crews who entered the Cardington event last Sunday I think that the answer to the question posed is 'Yes, C2 is definitely still viable as a ranking class.' So long as it is not pushed into the sidings but supported in times to come with ini...

Re: Is C2 Viable as a ranking class?
Cardington - Day 1 - not enough C2 entrants to make the class corate.
Cardington - Day 2 - sufficient C2 entrants to make the class corate.
Be very interesting to see how the ranking points secured for those C2 crews taking part on both days compare under these circumstances.

When is a 50 NOT a 50?
I for one am loving the judges exam diagrams on the main website.
A great idea and well done for whoever it was who thought about doing it.
Always makes me think at least twice about what my answer would be.

Re: Prem is dead Long live Div 1P
What a great opportunity for me to say that we at Stafford & Stone are very fortunate to have a group of Prem. paddlers who give up so much of their time to run events, maintain equipment, attend club working days and sit on the club committee for the overall benefit of the club and its latest group...

Re: Superfinal Format at Prem Races
Hi all, I did bring this up (points for paddlers who do not make the final should be worked out using the best of their two runs) in the discussions which preceded the vote at last years ACM but can't recall anyone else in the room thinking that it should be included as an ammendment to the proposed...

Re: Online Entries for Vets
Hi Dee.
You could change the way entries for Vet.'s need to be made after each race and most of us would not realise as we would have forgotten how it was done before by the time we did our next entry.
Forgetful of Stone.

Hi Paul.
By my reckoning you and Nathan will be the highest ranked C2 crew in the UK by the end of this weekend coming!
Take a screen shot as there is only one way to go from there!

Re: The future of C2 in 2017
Typical. No sooner than we apply for and receive our race bib now that the C2 promotion points have been sorted out to allow me and George to do more that one Div. 2 race in a season without ending up back in the top division, he goes and damages his knee which may need surgery to rectify that would...

Re: Online enteries
Just noticed that my entries for the Llandysul double Div. 1 event (sent in via cards as they were done before the event was available to enter on-line) have been added to the list of entries received which are being displayed on the on-line system for that event. Fantastic and a very big thank you ...
