Re: SCA Democratic Influence

Considering the Boards own proposal for re-structuring will require an expensive re-write of the Articles of Association, then at best the proposals will only provide the much sought after engagement and response from the Membership. Much of what is proposed is already in alignment with the SportSco...

Re: SCA Democratic Influence

Apologies for the long winded response, there are links posted to both the Board representation and background to the raising of the Motions. Unfortunately the motions were drafted during holiday period as they required to be submitted to the Board in August. During initial drafting a range of peopl...

Re: British Open 2014

Can only apply to K1W; K1M & C1M as C1W and C2M are already mixed Prem/Div 1 so entitled to enter as Prem paddlers. So potential for another 30 on the start list ??

Congratulations to the Young Scots Paddlers

Apologies for the delay but issues with the chat room and busy with the paid work, however thought it worth recognising the strength and depth of the current crop of young Scottish slalom paddlers. Much is made of the politics but the paddlers continue to demonstrate their commitment and capability....

Master Mastered

If a Master is someone competing that has passed the age of 35, what would the term be for someone over the age of 35 with more than 35 years in the ranking lists??

Re: Grandtully Training Gates

Further to note on Slalom front page, please note that over the summer with low water levels the gates have been dropped to match levels. Some are now fairly low - however there is rain forecast for this weekend with Met Office Warnings in place for Sunday (03/08). Anyone liable to be around or usin...

Scottish Slalom - Alive and Well

Scottish Canoe Slalom seems to have been getting attention recently with some concerns and issues being aired for public discussion. It has lead to some strange public proclamations from the SCA Board and it has been noted that paddlers are resigning from the Performance Programme. Not surprisingly ...
