Thanks everyone, I now have lots of names to browse websites + compare pics/prices. I'm off to put the kettle on first, and might even have a cuppa too - thanks Dave. I did wonder whether sunlight might have weakened the carbon in the blade as I've been leaving the same blade sticking out of the co...

Which slalom paddles are people using, and why ? I've snapped 2 double dutch blades at Symonds Yat in the last 2 months (the second was second hand/repaired), and wondered if there were any more durable /light slalom paddles out there. Anyone know how to replace a double dutch blade without wreckin...

Lost kit - Anyone pick up an orange/brown fleece + thin black nookie long sleeved top? I think I drove off with them still drying on my bike rack :(

Thankyou for pointing out that my DOB was visible in the area you mentioned. It has now been removed. I've asked for this topic to also be removed, before anyone else sees fit to trawl up, and display more of my family's personal details (true or false). Before anyone else attacks me for my comment...

Option 2 in the voting list should read 'Address/DOB side of card on display to the public' ie. card not behind perspex/able to be removed by a passer by (try picking up a few cards at the next event and see if anyone questions you). If my PC hadn't voted for me, I'd have voted for this option (no ...

Dee - If the ranking compilers emailed organisers an excel spreadsheet of all paddlers' contact details, would it upset you if the rule was ammended so that paddlers could have a choice whether they put their address/DOB on entry cards ?

Is it equally paranoid not to allow organisers an excel spreadsheet of all paddlers' contact details? Should organisers have contact details of relatives in case of injury, rather than just the address/phone number of an empty house ? Everyone has their own view/ perception of risk. From this discu...

Good idea Dave, maybe you could come up with a form which would print itself out 3 times on 1 side of A4. What are the risks of organisers receiving a file from the ranking compilers, containing all the contact info of paddlers in all divisions? I'm all for using less paper, and the file could be p...

I accept personal information is important to contact family/obtain relevant medical records. Relying on the information on cards is not ideal. The information may be incomplete, illegible, or blown away. Given the importance of the information, each organiser should have all the contact informatio...
