Re: Where have all the Div 1s Gone?
There seems to be a lot of ebbing rather than flowing! We are now only four weeks before the LV Div 1 and numbers are still well down (later div 1 races are even worse so it's not just an LV effect). Late fees will kick in 2 weeks before the race so I'm not sure that this is people just leaving it u...

Where have all the Div 1s Gone?
Div 1s are usually in a hurry to get their entries in, but this year they are noticeably slower. There are only 3 div 1s currently open for entries and none of them are about to become full! I'm hoping this is just a delay in paddlers entering and not an overall decrease in numbers. Anecdotal eviden...

Re: Racing in 2022
Several competition are now open for entry and we are seeing a steady flow of entries to them. About half have been published, so you can see when they will start taking entries. The remainder are still to be published by the organisers - if you are organising a race and are not sure how, get in tou...

Re: End of Season Promotions
I believe that those promoted end of season will be added to the bottom of the ranking list, ie their paddle up points will have no impact on their bib number. This makes sense as effectively the paddle-up points expired before promotion. However, I believe the new promotees will be placed above tho...

Missing Year book calendar info for 2022 Slaloms
I am still waiting for some clubs to complete and submit the year book data for their slaloms. You can see which ones are outstanding at https://www.canoeslalomentries.co.uk/year/2022/calendar-applications/calendar Anything in amber is waiting for data and submission from the club. Green means it is...

Re: 6.10 Entry Fees
Jim,
If you need to change submitted data then let me know (not too late yet, though it will be soon!).
I'll need to you to confirm which competition you are referring to!
I think perhaps there was an assumption that clubs would check the ACM outcomes before adjusting enhanced fees!

All of the emails to the akcslalom.org domain seem to have become a bit rubbery.
Could Stewart Tulloch or anyone else get in contact with me about your 2022 slalom please
Thanks

Re: 6.2 Veterans Points (75/25)
Even that can be read 2 ways. Suppose the paddler would match a Div 2 paddler who got 50 points, and a Div 3 paddler who got 75. That would under the previous system get 75 points without ambiguity. Now however it could be read as 50 with Div 2 uplift compared to 75 with div 3 uplift. So 50+150 com...

<quote>I thought the got the best of the points that they would have got in either of the divisions. Re: Junior prizes
The majority of clubs do award the junior prizes such that J18 is for the first paddler J18 and under, J16 is for the first paddler J16 and under (excluding someone who has got the J18 prize) etc. However, there are one or two that have gone with age bands (limiting the lower age), but because this ...
