Re: BC Membership For Div 4 Races
Club associate members should sign up on the BC portal and then associate themselves with their club, they should then get an associate membership. I believe that process requires manual intervention at the moment by the club administrator (ours is raising an issue to get it sorted).

Re: BC Membership For Div 4 Races
Well that is good news! Not heard about it. Phew that saves a lot of faff for associate members. Must make sure all the rules and info reflect that (if they don't already). I can check any BC membership is valid, if associate members get a BC number (possible these days). Should be possible for orga...

Re: BC Membership For Div 4 Races
Daft thing is there is nothing (in most cases) preventing any member of the public paddling the course. We've had to rescue day trippers before now who've decided to run Howsham whilst an event was on. The event has public liability insurance provided by BC, you could argue the paddlers are covered ...

Re: BC Membership For Div 4 Races
I've been banging on about this like a bad record about this for a number of years. Div 4 paddlers should not need to be a BC member to try the sport regardless of age, a step forward would be to allow BC affiliated club members of any age even if we can't do 'anyone', I'm amazed that the sport can ...

Re: Points Suspended
Please remember that you should not race without a valid membership, it may seem annoying or petty but the reason is you are not insured, this is particularly important with regard to any 3rd party claim. If the organsier is aware that you do not have a valid membership they should not let you race....

Promotion Certificates
You may or may not know you can get a certificate when you are promoted. We normally send these out when you apply for your bib but recently a lot of emails have been bouncing. If you are missing one please find your new bib on the ranking list, click on your name to show your full details and you s...

Re: Washburn Div 1 and Div 2 - Call for Volunteers
Unfortunately, today’s government announcement that the current covid restrictions will remain in place until 19th July means that we are cancelling the Washburn Div 2 on 26/27 June, and also means that we won’t be able to run the Div 1 event We were planning on the basis that the event would go ahe...

Re: Washburn Div 2 - event info
Following a question for a parent some clarification.
Parent will be able to follow paddler down the course.
Each car will have social distancing space so you can stay on site during the day.

Washburn Div 2 - event info
Subject to covid restrictions being eased on the 21st June, not getting delayed and a water release being available we intend to run the Div 2 slalom on Saturday June 26th only. 'Super' Saturday will see a Double Div 2 event on one day. Entries open on the 14th of June. This will be the first UK wid...

Washburn Div 1 and Div 2 - Call for Volunteers
Hi, We are hoping to run the Washburn Div 2 and Div 1. We need to resource these events with volunteers and this needs to be organised and confirmed in advance to enable the events to go ahead if all other restrictions are favourable. We will not be able to make it up as we go along on the day as we...

Re: OnLineEntries ... Going Down
you might want to run ANALYZE TABLE on all your tables and see if it makes any difference. If you continue to have a slow down I might be able to help as I've been a DBA for about 30 years and its the sort of thing I sort. A quick google shows there are quite a lot of known issues with performace on...

Re: CanoeSlalomEntries Support for Covid Slaloms
I believe this years version of SS does allow for individual gate penalties to be input. I doubt I'll get my kit ready in time for many events but if I could it would remove the need for cards for touches in control as judges would key them in on a wireless key pad (which doesn't require wifi and sh...

Vets - Linked your old bibs
Hi Vets, I have done a bit of tidying up on the ranking database, previously once you switched to Vet your paddler record did not link to your old divisional bib. So for instance when I moved from Div 2 K1M to Vets K1M you could not follow from 2021 back to 2013 by just clicking on my Vet bib. I've ...

Re: Help - plastic design/printing - wireless judging handset
Thanks for the responses, already talked to Dave Royle and Photoshape sounds interesting.
Development is coming on well too. Once I get this basic version finished and proven I'll look to extend it to other areas too.
