Re: Pinkston Div 2/3 - 24/25 June (+ practice)

Big thanks to everyone that came and competed in the strong winds over the weekend, it looked like most of you got the hang of the moving gates and were enjoying yourselves. Also thank you all for keeping clear of the coaching course that was running on an adjacent part of the site. Even bigger than...

Re: Pinkston Div 2/3 - 24/25 June (+ practice)

Just a note to highlight for anyone who hasn't been to Pinkston in the last couple of months, use M8 Junction 16 for the most direct route to the centre. There is a road closure between J15 and the centre with a long diversion, the closure is long term and should appear on up to date sat nav or if u...

Re: Pinkston Div 2/3 - 24/25 June (+ practice)

PRACTICE TIMES REVISED ******************************* To make things easier for some of our younger competitors in div 3 we are switching the later 2 sessions around - I will notify everyone who was booked on the div 2 session directly by email to make sure they know. (I am working through the emai...

Re: Online Entries - The Future - Have your Say?

You can of course keep the entries open until the last minute so people could decide and enter on Friday. I have one provisional div 3 entry who will need to look at the course on the Saturday to decide if they are happy to enter or not, I suspect there may be others embarrassed to admit as much wh...

Re: Pinkston Div 2/3 - 24/25 June (+ practice)

That seems a perfectly reasonable request, and I have to come clean and admit that only one of the photos on our poster is actually realistic in depicting 2 pumps (thank to Andrew from Forth CC for that), for the others I have tried to pick photos where it is not possible to work out how many pumps ...

We do, you're leading it:

There are no separate prizes for the different M groups though, if there were at many races every M would be a winner :)

Re: Is C2 Viable as a ranking class?

Todays Scottish Schools Championship (and div 3/4) saw 23 C2s racing. Mostly unranking scratch pairings but they all seemed to be having great fun - and after the racing one of the boats took a non paddler out for a spin too. Doesn't look like there is a shortage of kids who like paddling C2, it's s...

Re: Pinkston Div 2/3 - 24/25 June (+ practice)

Provisional start lists and event info can now be accessed from the calendar on the home page. Because entries come to us through the centre I am concerned that there may be some that have been mislaid on the way - If you sent an entry more than a few days ago please check the start list and make su...

Re: Is C2 Viable as a ranking class?

Pinkston - Day 1 - not enough C2s to appear on the start list
Pinkston - Day 2 - not enough C2s to appear on the start list

Come on you C2 crews, I know you exist, send entries! :)
(I am expecting 1 at least)

Re: Age Group

Are you seeing that on the division 4 rankings page or in div 4 results or something? Officially your son is J10, but if the race organiser wants to acknowledge (i.e. has prizes for) younger entrants J8 or J7 might be appropriate - you can either put down J10 and leave it to the organiser to change ...
