I agree, Helen was looking very strong and paddling well this season. Its a shame about the wind. Unfortunetly thats the cruel part about our sport, things like that tend to happen from time to time. But dont neglect the the other girls, in particular Laura and Fiona, who are very fast and equally ...

We should definetly keep the boat weight rule. We already have different rules to the rest of the world for every division except Premier (eg. only best run counts, not the aggregate, in division 1 and below!). We do not want to deviate away from the rules any more than we already do. Lighter boats...

I agree with Dan - for the paddlers who compete at senior international level, there are too many races already to be introducing yet another major domestic race. I suggest that the UK champs remains the winner of the selection series - this is the race that gives the best reflection of ability at ...

I went to some kind of promotional day in Broxbourne for London 2012 where i saw the plans for the course and spoke to some people involved with it. The assured me that their intention was to build the course irrespective of whether London got the games or not. Yes, sounds good, but i'll only belie...

Deciding what boat to paddle is a personal thing - it depends mainly on size of paddler, paddling style, and possibly also the type of water you will be mainly racing on. Unless you are pretty experienced (top end of div 1 or premier divisions), then you may not even notice any difference in feelin...

Its not one hit by the rowing skull! The 3.6.9 i was in at the time came off damage free, but arm didn't do so well. Doctor says the skin graft has taken well but will probably mean 6 weeks out of boat.

cheers, campbell

Hi all, I have a Zig Zag Optima for sale. Yes, its 4 meters long but its a very good boat and in my opinion, still faster than the majority of short boats around! If wanted, a top quality short boat conversion job can be done by Nick Smith for an extra 50pound. I've done it, and the "Sh'optima" is n...
