I will soon be ending my position as dealer for sandiline kit in the UK. I will not be getting any more new stock in. So for those interested in buying any kit soon, I urge you to do so while stock lasts!

Hi all, one of the Russian girls had left her Sandiline Dry combo in the female changing room during Sunday's British Open at HPP. At the end of the day, she couldn't find it, it appears someone else took it by accident. It is dark grey, with light grey under the arms, black deck (red neoprene on t...

A good VO2 max capability is definitely important to good performance. OK, so its not the most important factor - that one goes to whitewater gate skills. But at a high competitive level, all aspects of physical ability need to be worked on. Slalom is a middle distance sport - a good mix of anaerob...

The GB team left with all their kit for the World Champs 1 day before the incident, so thankfully this will not affect preparations. However, that is not to say it did not affect any of those paddlers - some had other boats/kit in the lock-ups. Personally, I had 3 boats destroyed! Everyone out here...

Good posting. David Hearn wasn't even the best C1 paddler in the USA! Jon Lugbil was surely better - I thought you said you had just read The Ultimate Run? And Martikan. I wouldn't like to have to choose between Martikan and Lugbil. But as I only know Lugbil from legend, and have had the pleasure o...

In support of my sport.... I think GB canoe slalom operates a very fair selection process, and has done for many years. (I have been racing GB selections since 1993!) Selection policies are published well in advance and are adhered to. Discretionary selection by a panel is the source of politics an...

For efficient paddling technique, it is recomended that the distance between the knuckles of your 2 middle fingers is at least equal to, preferably slightly greater than 1/3 of the entire paddle length. [Calculated by some German sports scientists!]

Hi, If you have any questions relating to the kit, then it is best to make contact by email or phone through the sandiline website, as I dont check the bulletin boards as often as I check my email! But its a good idea that I answer these questions here, so people have an idea of sizing. If you have...

Dear SurveyMe, thankyou very much for the personal attack (see posting on 5th November). I can't really understand why you addressed a posting to me and started ranting about the conduct of the slalom committee in regard to this matter. I have no connection to the slalom committee and was simply gi...

Personally, I dont really care where selection races are held as I believe the best paddlers will make the team regardless of venue or training time on that venue. Generally, the fast paddlers are fast everywhere. Just look at the Prem race results this year - on average it is the same paddlers at ...

If you are ever at HPP, there are atleast 3 makes of kayak ergo kicking around the various gym and testing areas in the new building. And specific C1 sprint (flatwater) ergo's do exist - there is also one of them at HPP.
