HPP

Not good timing that HPP is shut with paddlers in the middle of their winter training.

Does anyone know why and for how long ?

Only saying what I heard on the grapevine but it appears the river bed of the course has been damaged over the years due to rocks moving down it, and now has some pretty mangled metal structures poking out of the bottom which could be very dangerous to swimmers.

3 weeks is a figure being mentioned by some, however as with all maintenance work it could take longer/shorter.

For anyone interested in the White Water Course we have an update on the current closure:

The White Water Rafting course is still currently closed. Following recent high water levels which forced the necessary closure of the course, we have brought forward our scheduled maintenance to minimise any further disruption to the season at a later date. The course is currently scheduled to re-open in early March. We will keep you updated via our website http://www.nwscnotts.com and here on our Facebook Page and apologise for any inconvenience during this time. If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0115 982 1212.
