I have just read “The King of Slalomia” the new book from Bill Endicot and Fabien Lefevre.
It is about the exceptional career of Fabien who has the most varied and multi class medal haul in the history of the sport.
I highly recommend it as a must read for any aspiring slalom racer and possibly lessons in it that could well be taken on board for the various performance programs around the World who still try to put square pegs in round holes.
Fabien’s story really reinforces that to truly achieve elite performance is a very individual matter in terms of training and racing.
Thanks to Bill Endicot on yet another great slalom book.
I wrote a article in 2011 called “The Art in Sport” and this has some relevance to a slightly unorthodox approach to technique development.
