If you look in the Calendar in the yearbook, you see codes such as ABC1DEFG, or A9B(Book with Organiser)CXEFG

Does anyone under 50 know what these mean?

Does anyone use them or refer to them at any time?

30 day poll to get an idea of the demand

Sometimes useful if the event organiser doesn't put up the event info until very close to the race - I have definitely used them in the last year, not often, but as I say useful when required.

I should really prepare my event info for this years race...

I'm over 50 and have no idea what these codes mean.

I am also over 50 and never looked at the codes.
Whats wrong with a page number.

If you put everything on line then there will need to be a reference to find things.

They are useful (see p 137) as not all events include full event info. At least you can find out the basics like toliets/camping/water and food if it is your first time.

Perhaps it should say Facilities:XXXXXX so people have some idea what it means. Pictures might be better like camp site guides have.

PS. The event types (O, O/T and P) appear incorrect on p 137, seems we now use Open and Premier.

I agree with Duncan - pictures would be more helpful. I've spent 10 minutes flipping back and forth and dropping the tall narrow book and finding the pages again trying to find out if there was a tap somewhere!

I have used them a couple of times for venues I have never been too before. I agree, pictograms would be more immediately understood.

Similar to others, I have used them for travelling to new (to me) sites or where I have not been for a while to update on local facilities. Would definitely assist if we could come up with some form of easily understood pictograms.
