Well done to Campbell through first runs in pole position, hoping the guys all keep it up in 2nd runs and through to tomorrow.

For those who are getting wound up on the inane running commentary, a couple of options:

1/ turn down/off the volume gets rid of all stupid comments and out of context terminology
2/ If you think you are better try :
http://www.bbc.co.uk/talent/

Maybe next time you will have the opportunity to put them all right.

Finally picking up on one of CPs points, noted that judges/refereees bio includes a section for nickname. Unfortunately these are blank for the GBR slalom judges - any suggestions ?

:D :D :D

Well done Campbell, Stu and Nick in qualification. Could Campbell be keeping some reserve for tomorrow and hence the slow down at gate 17 (as also undertaken by Schmidt).

All look strong prospects for medals.

All excellent stuff, can't wait to see the video tonight. Got tomorrow off work so I can watch the finals live before going to Fairnilee :)

Hopefully we'll have an excuse for a big old party this weekend? Go for it guys...

Big congrats to Helen, she was so fast to get bronze even with the dodgy lines. Feel for Stu though.

Great coverage again and well done to the paddlers and all their coaches.

Good luck for tomorrow.

.... It was especially good that they got their shoulders through all the gates and didn't hit any of the poles with their oars.

didn't hear fabian's name mentioned there. on both his runs he only put steering strokes in and no downstream strokes at all. campbell did brilliant too and he was talkin to us all before his run like it was just a normal day. jus to enforce the point im at the olympics. haha have fun working and watching little bits on tv. we have lamar and kent commentating on each of the paddlers runs. good stuff.

I think he slowed down so he would not be the last person off to go tomorow.

I didnt hear the comentating because we were watching it on Slovinian television; Also to enforce the point that we were in Slovinia at Solkan and Tacen. There both amasing! especialy Tacen but also Solkan when the dam is releasing.

any way, back to the topic, Campbell rules.

Unfortunate for Nick & Stu, missed out on the Final with 9th place.

Campbell storms through into the final in pole position, all our thoughts are with go for gold !

Just pipped me to the post!

Gutted for Nick and Stu, but Campbell looked in total control (except for that little stopper moment...)

Pacing around the house until the next run now...

No way! Really?

Campbell looked really upset at the end - he was cruising, thinking he was faster. Still a good result though.

Congrats to the whole team - been an excellent week :)
