Jake Silvester battles to control his K1 kayak in the fast flowing Orton Staunch Weir on the river Nene in Cambridgeshire yesterday. Silvester a member of the Viking Kayak club in Bedford, was competing on the slalom course belonging to the Proteus Canoe Club, who have bounced back after their clubhouse was destroyed by fire two years ago.

Just do not ask why a prem paddler was struggling to control his boat on a div 3/4 course, or (if you knew the course) what he was doing there, apart from posing? :)

But it is a good colour two page picture, so raising the profile of the sport, and thanks are due to David Ashdown the photographer.
All spelling errors are intentional and are there to show new and improved ways of spelling old words. Grammatical errors are due to too many English classes/teachers.
Old. Fat. Slow. Bad tempered. And those are my good points
