I would like to set up some training gates on the outflow of a weir near Warwick (Rock Mill Weir).

Has anyone got any advice from doing similar elsewhere?

I guess I'll need to get permission from landowners, set up posts, or find suitable trees to tie lines between before I start thinking about gates.

Does anyone here know the weir and who who owns the land either side? I'll try contacting a BCU access officer.

Cheers,

Graham

Other parties that it is best to involve are The Environment Agency and Natural England.

I am meeting with someone from Natural England next week to discuss the impact of lines and gates on the wildlife at Howsham Mill where we train. I will let you know the outcome.

Cheers

Phil
