A quick post on behalf of Julie (organiser)

Entries are coming in and Julie will be processing them and posting here soon

The roads around Shepperton and Chertsey are all open again and all the pumps, police and fire service have gone. so it's all looking good for access. As for the weir itself, it has dropped somewhat, a couple of weeks ago the water was lapping over the top of the start platform but it is a couple of feet below that tonight. There are still currently ten gates open and neither the rock or the groyne, river right are currently visible.

Just to let you know Steve from Hydra Sports is coming to Shepperton with a few demo boats (including the new Copa K1 !) and to give support to some of their sponsored and coached paddlers.

Much nicer than last year but I am guessing you were inside for the random hailstones!!!

The funniest moment of the event has to have been watching the 8's get stuck in the tree by start
