Shepperton Double Div 1/2 10th/11th March 2012

Sorry that we have had to cancel the Div 1, but I hope the div 2s are looking forward to the Shepperton race

For the Revised Provisional Start List for the Div 2 Race go to Div 2 Start List updated Friday 9th March 2012

Sorry, but if you are not on the list then you do not have a ranking run. I will take a small number of judges entries on the day + teams on Saturday

Prize giving will be 15mins after the last result is posted each day, subject to resolving any protests.

Div 1 Cancellation

As many of you will be aware water levels are very low at the moment and this means Shepperton is rather flat. In spite of lots of rain on Sunday there has been little improvement and with little more than showers forecast this week we don't believe that water levels will reach the level appropriate for a div 1 race. It is therefore with regret that we have decided that
Shepperton Div 1 is Cancelled.

the Double Div 2 will definitely go ahead.

In addition we will be running a
Teams Event on Saturday for all Classes and Divisions.
For teams event only, entries will be taken on the day. Competition classes and prizes will depend on entries, though it would be nice to have canadian teams (1C2 +2C1), prem/1 teams M/W and 2/3 teams M/W

Frequently Asked Questions

1. I entered in div 1, but I'd now like to paddle div 2 in a different class.
- No problem - please email me with your name, original class and bib number and your div 2 class and bib number; subject heading "Change my Entry" asap.
On the day please bring a replacement cheque for div 2 entry fees. (Cheques preferable to cash please)
If your div 1 entry was on in time then you won't be charged late fees for the div 2 entry.
No changes after 5pm Thursday 8th March, but please email before if you can; I will only swap you if the div 1 is cancelled

2. I've entered in div 2 and was coming with friends in div 1, so I won't be coming.
- Please email me with your name, original class and bib number; subject heading "Cancel my Div 2 Entry", no later than Wednesday 7th March. I will shred cheques for all cancellations received by that date.

4. I'd like to put in a late entry in div 2.
I will take div 2 entries (with late fees) up to Friday 9th March. Entries must be on a signed card and include payment. No email entries.

5. What will happen to my payment.
I will shred the div 1 cheques and bin the cards

6. But I paid for div 2 and div 1 races on the same cheque.
Please bring a replacement cheque for the div 2 races.

7. I paid with a postal order.
We will pay the postal order into the club account and send you a refund cheque. Please allow a few weeks for this to arrive. Ill post here when they are sent.

8. Will you run an Open.
No, but we will run teams on Saturday - Enter on the day

9. I've entered in div 1, but I'd still like to come and paddle as an official.
- I love you! - please email me with your name, original class, bib number and the days you can judge; subject heading "Change to Judge" and I'll amend your cards.
(Sorry, but you can not do a judges run and a ranking run. You can, however, do a judges run and a team run, but please let me know that you are thinking of doing this so that we can plan appropriately)

The yearbooks were packed at the weekend & Roral Mail picked them up from Bingham yesterday (13 Feb) so they should arrive sometime this week.

Late Entry Fees

If you haven't posted your entry yet then please do so today!
Any entries not received (and accepted) by Monday 27th Feb will be subject to a late entry fee of £5 for a single, £10 for a double.

Hi Dee,

I hope you get some water and that the very well run event continues to provide an alternative, challenging Div 1 course to the downriver and man made courses. Even though I am no longer resident in the UK, I am still keeping a close eye on slalom there. Have fun!
