A message from the organiser......................

This event is now fully booked with a waiting list. The start lists will be posted on the Canoe Slalom website in the next day or so.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any paddle ups - even if you have already sent in your cards and cheque.

Any cheques sent in belonging to people who haven't got a place will be shredded.

Many thanks Julie Templeton, Organiser

As previously advised this event is fully booked.

If you are not showing on the start lists which have posted on the Canoe Slalom website, you do not have a place. I have emailed those who didn't make the start list and who provided email addresses (although a couple were illegible).

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any paddle ups - even if you have already sent in your cards and cheque.

We have a waiting list of 28 paddlers on Saturday and 23 on Sunday.

Any cheques sent in belonging to people who haven't got a place will be shredded.

For those who have places, please see the event information here http://www.sheppertoncanoeclub.co.uk/?page_id=435.

Many thanks
Julie Templeton, Event Organiser

Good morning

Just a short update on the Shepperton event this weekend:

Water
This is lower than we would prefer. However, it was checked by a Canoe Slalom committee member on Monday and deemed OK to run a Division 1 (& 2) event. Both side spills are open with a reasonable volume of whitewater below, however the levels & volume are currently dropping. There are no sluices open, although one is leaking about 10%. We will endeavour to set a course as technically challenging as conditions allow but feel it is important to make paddlers aware of the current water conditions/levels.

Catering
Claire and Trish will once again be running their fabulous and reasonably priced cafe all day. Check out the amazing cakes!

Photography
We will have a club photographer, Craig, at the event who is happy to take and supply digital photos to paddlers free of charge. If you are interested, please contact Craig at teambodge@btinternet.com with your bib number and colour. In return we ask your permission for SSCC to use your images on our website, facebook pages and any other publicity including local newspapers. Also for your permission for Craig to use your images on his own website and facebook pages. If you wish to opt out of any of these, please can you advise Craig.

Here's hoping for a pleasant weekend.
