Entries coming in, 28 days to go.

Orton Mere is a great family friendly slalom with camping on site and it is good for spectators who can view the whole course from one spot.
Camping is on the north side of the river. Go to the car park detailed below and collect the key for the gate and instructions on how to get to the campsite from the club hut or control.

Because 90% of our entries are on the day I will post provisional starts times nearer the event. But if past years are anything to go by then we will start at 12 PM Saturday and 11 AM Sunday

The Postcode PE2 7DZ will take you to the car park we use, just cross over the railway lines and you are on site.

Come and join us!

Think you'll find Danny Dalrymple's no is 7, not 3.

The road leading to the vehicle access to the campsite will be closed overnight (8PM - 6AM) Friday & Saturday.

Because we get 90% of our entries are on the day, I have no start list prepared.
But here are some timings.

The course will be up by Friday afternoon and open for free practice.

Saturday, free practice till approx 9:30, then organised practice till 12 noon. First runs will start at 12 noon and sencond runs will start at approx 2:30, but this dependent on the entries we receive.

On Sunday everything will start one hour earlier.

*loos at list*
*looks in cheque book*
Aaagh, I booked the B&B and the cat sitter and forgot to enter the slalom! Guess I'll be standing in the entries queue on Saturday morning... I'm glad I looked here (and I'm very glad you posted! Thank you!)

I have a couple of questions:
1) What toilets will there be? And will there be a tap?
2) Are you going to do scheduled practice runs?

I had a cunning plan for Wagon Lane to take a thermos of hot water and a bucket in the morning so I could wash my hands in warm water and keep them warm, and it was great, so I'm wondering if I want to do the same this week too...

Hi,
Water will be provided. We bring it down in water butts each day.
Commercial portaloos will be available.
We tend to have free practise up to 9.30 and then do organised practise whereby we ensure people have a chance to do full runs - as many as they can fit in during the time. There's usually lots of opportunity for practise.
Hope that helps.
Sal
