!! BEST EVENT EVER !! - no ones talking so......
i maybe late again on this topic,but......... i have never got a ill from hpp. In the threee years i've been paddling at hpp never once have i seen the meal before, come back up.You may say that i dont roll that much when i train, but believe me I DO. Theres just one difference between men and women when they train, if a man paddles through a stopper, he tends to CLOSE his mouth, and breath after succesfully going through the stopper, unlike women who can usually be found screaming whilst going through the 'rough' water.
One last thing, cant believe that someone(not going to be named) said that the staff and raft guides at hpp are not a good or 'nice' as the ones at tryweryn, wot a load of rubbish!!

If your reading this..........you've just wasted your time.
Bringing back the Nottingham/ Tryweryn discussion:
Tryweryn:
FOR:
-Faster water
-many sites (variety)
-more drops
-good for playboating aswell
-good, fast eddies
-original
AGAINST:
-Rocky
-Tends to rain
-Occasionally too many rafts when training
Nottingham
FOR:
-Well presented site (stands, the board, bridge, path etc..)
-good for spectators
-generally nice course to paddle
-good changing rooms
-good parking
-good for recirculations sessions (can paddle bk up easily)
-good warm-up lake
-camping+ good white water center for accomodation
-all motorway to get there, no small windy roads (depends where u live though)
AGAINST:
-poluted water
-'iffy',boily eddies
-slimy maggot banks (it's true, we have seen it)
-short course (compared to Tryweryn)
-not as much white water
-less playboating waves/stoppers
-the odd dodgy raft guide
-tend to find dead cows in eddies (not too often tho)
-often too windy
-occasionally too many playboaters when training
They are both really different types of sites anyway, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. Personally i prefer Tryweryn mainly because of the variety, but nottingham is a really nice course aswell.
Anyone got anything else to add?

Hey lil smurf person- the enviroment guy must hav had his head somewhere- Teesside (look at the spelling) is no where near as bad for water pollotion as snottsy. Coz all the powerplants and chemical works r downstream of the barrage. And the fact that we get salmon- otters and seals on the course must meen something. Yeah- n, n e way bk to da poll- best course-
Augsburg and Seu- for the technical side
Brats- for the drops
Bourg- for the immenseness
Lofer- for the scenery
